Moon conjunct Sun
When the Moon is crossing your natal Sun, this is a day of personal recharging for the month ahead, as well as reflection on the month passed. What this connection is trying to do is integrate your emotions into your spirit and this can be both a time of wonderful heartfelt feelings, or you may just sit on your pissy pot and sulk in your problems. A lot will depend on your attitude and how you individually handle your problems. During this transit the emotions you experience are intensified and much more impactful. If the last few days have been rather lackluster and melancholy then this should be the refreshing drink of water only the Moon can provide. When things are going good this can be the kick in the pants bringing you back down to Earth. If you have been setting yourself up for a fight, failure, or just plain stressful day, today is the day you will realize it. You’re much more volatile today and things that don’t usually get to you will irritate you, causing you to lash out inappropriately at someone. The sign your natal Sun is in will also change the outcomes as well. Water and Earth signs won’t be as hasty as the fire or air signs, and the fire air combo will be much more energetic then the others. Either way, if you pay attention to this monthly period you’ll discover your own individual feelings and be able to interpret them accordingly. This is not to say that every time the Moon reaches this point you will be angry and sad you will just take things with a little more chip on your shoulder. Don’t forget, Moon transits are very brief. Both loving connections and hostile irritations will only last a few hours. What will make them drag out is how you react. As for daily activities, don’t make plans requiring much energy today. You might think you want to exercise but after ten minutes you’re ready for the showers and a snack. Despite the lightheartedness be careful not to waste your day. When it’s 2:00 pm and you’re still walking around naked or in your underwear you’ll realize the day is almost gone and rush to get something done. I say just chill and hang out with family and friends. Subconsciously, it will be very easy for you to drift off into your own fantasyland. If you’re an artist, musician, or writer use these energies and focus on your interests. If you can recognize these negativities you can properly release all your pent up frustrations and the following few weeks will pass by more harmoniously.
Moon conjunct Moon
In predictive astrology this is also known as your lunar return and the feelings during this transit can be a good indicator of the month to come. Of course all the other planets are going to make a difference and it isn’t a guarantee, but, if today is a relaxed, more casual day then the overall month will whisk by until some problems eventually come squeaking in. What’s occurring is that the Moon has returned to her natal position and is intending to symphonize your emotions in a way that’s comfortably acceptable. Sometimes you need the inspiration provided by discontent and anger in order to kick yourself in gear and this is the transit to do so. Transits of the Moon are always erratic and her temperament can swing instantaneously and sometimes quite significantly. The darker side of the Moon will make you fussy and your crabby side might make you a little snappish towards others. If you remain unaware of these problems the stress causes you to lash out at the wrong victim. The bright side will allow you to connect your feelings with the significant people and possessions that you hold dear. More often than not you will want to be around things that are familiar and established bonds have already been made. When you prepare yourself properly then this can be a very happy time where you’re content with the little things which provide happiness. Even the little weed growing in the yard can open your eyes.
As opposed to when the Moon was conjoining your Sun and you felt energized and enthusiastic, this transit will make you rather stay home and possibly sulk by yourself for little sometimes petty reasons. Everyone has their own special relationship with the Moon and just like your mother it can be a source of both problems and solutions. Because the Moon significantly impacts your inner subconscious you should use this time to start a meditation or spiritual reflection routine. When you don’t take care of yourself you can’t take care of others and this would not be a good time to make any major social engagements or commitments where you must deal with anyone not emotionally close to you. Exercise is also off the to do list unless it’s vitally important or done in short spurts. Stay inside a little more than usual and don’t be concerned when you feel a little fatigued. If you do have to go out and about you’re probably going to feel a little sluggish and slow so don’t make any concrete time restrictionsIt may feel like you have a slight flu bug and simple rest and nutrients will help you considerably. Also, make sure you reserve extra time to prepare yourself. It might take you two hours to accomplish something you normally do in one.
Moon conjunct Mercury
Both the Moon and Mercury are exceptionally quick and all by itself this is not a very powerful transit. Single handedly this bridges your emotions with your intellect and you’ll probably notice you think about your feelings a lot more today. You’ll find yourself constantly daydreaming and when you drop your phone in the toilet it’s because you were lost in fantasyland and just plain fumbled it. Casual conversations can feel like they’re with close friends and your loved ones become even closer. On a subconscious level, this alignment will affect your dreams and habitual reactions more than you care to admit. If you’re a creature of consistent routine then this transit will bring them to your attention and any negative patterns can be identified and dealt with. Whether you handle them properly is up to you. Sometimes you’ll confront that bastard straight on and sometimes you’ll simply bury them away and deal with them another time. Again, this transit is heavily influenced by both the condition of the Moon as well as your natal Mercury placement. When Mercury is dysfunctional in the natal chart then this will more than likely be a day of obscure indecisiveness. It will be troublesome to make concrete decisions and you shouldn’t even try. This would be a much better time to collect facts and analyze the situation when you have a clearer mind. Especially involved are your addictions to drugs, alcohol, and other forms of contraband that you know isn’t good for you. Best advice, identify the vice destroying your life and eliminate it. If your natal Mercury has harmonious aspects like trines and sextiles involved then this can be a very pleasant time where you’re able to develop comfortable relationships.
These two only dance for a handful of hours and these energies will come and go faster than the tides. While the tide is high it will be important for you to communicate how you feel to others. An in-depth conversation with a loved one can provide both insight and emotional relief. Because you’re more comfortable expressing how you feel you can reach others in a more personal way and they feel freer when expressing how they feel. If you have been bottling up any negative feelings towards someone your actions may become erratic and out of line. These emotional turmoils can turn you into a blubbering, sobbing, cry baby. Even if you don’t have a drinking problem stay away from alcohol and situations that may stimulate too many emotions. Issues from the past can make you cry just as easily as those you’re currently dealing with. Remember that even inappropriate out lashes can have positive results. Once you can hash out any unresolved issues then you can finally progress along. Again, the effects of the Moon and Mercury are not exceptionally strong, and are susceptible to influences elsewhere. Most times this transit will occur unnoticed, with only a few brief incidents.
Moon conjunct Venus
As the rulers of femininity, there’s a very special relationship between the Moon and Venus. When functioning harmoniously, this duo will ease your tensions and relieve some of the problems in your relationships. Venus represents our affiliations both personal and professional. When the Moon makes her monthly crossing the way you feel towards these people becomes more evident whether for the positive or negative. Sometimes this can reveal helpful connections which are supportive and nurturing. Maybe you reconcile with someone from the past. Possibly you connect with your mother or female figure in a more profound way. Other times, this can mean you close your fist and take a swing at a bitch. Those with Venus in a fire sign are most likely to do so. Look at the aspects from the other planets to get an indication of which scenario is most likely. Squares or oppositions from Mars, Saturn, or Uranus can indicate the darker side of the Moon’s progress. Trines and sextiles might feel difficult at first but eventually everything makes sense in a productive manner. If life is tough during these couple days try to look forward to when the Moon forms a sextile with your natal Venus. Everything changes and if life has not been happy then this can be the start of something good. The ebb and flow of the tides can be both tumultuous and peaceful. Even through the sometimes turbulent waves the beauty of life can be seen.
There will be a stronger connection between strangers and random encounters throughout the day. Getting gas, groceries, or running errands will seem less like chores and more like opportunities to interact with others. You may even make a new acquaintance that develops into an actual friendship. On a materialistic level this would be a good time to undertake and project connected with beautifying your home or living quarters. Don’t go too overboard in your spending though. Nothing can blow through your limited resources like Venus and the Moon. If other planets are negatively afflicting the Moon at this time then just stay away from shopping in general. Especially avoid something you’re thinking of selling later. You’re more attached to your possessions and you’ll develop feelings for whatever it is you buy. If not, you will most definitely experience buyer’s remorse once you realize how frivolously you have wasted your money.
Moon conjunct Mars
The Moon’s transit over Mars is usually more difficult than her contacts with the other planets. When these two align you might think and feel like you want to do something but once you get into something it’s a completely different story. Because their natural properties are so contradicting when they align it generally causes a lot more problems than it solves. Over the course of this transit you’re much more emotionally driven and the impulsiveness of Mars doesn’t handle the clinginess of the Moon with the greatest of ease. Although you might think you want to get out and do something your physical energy level is low and once you get into your project you realize it’s much more work than originally intended. On an emotional level you’re pretty much fireball and anything in your way is easily torched. This transit can be quite the volatile roller coaster with many ups, downs, and hair raising turns in between. If you’re cooped up inside you become easily agitated and lash out at the slightest provocation without any regard for your victim. You have to find a positive outlet that you can start and stop at will without any form of time restrictions. If not, then the repercussions will be more problematic than you think. Problems that are little snowballs today can easily turn into an avalanche of garbage you don’t want to deal with later. If you start the fight today, finish the fight today and don’t be surprised when you realize that you’re the asshole picking the fight and sometimes others just don’t want to argue. Don’t go out of your way to start or continue an argument and you’ll do just fine. The condition of the Moon during this transit is more vital than her other conjunctions with the other planets. When you cook with bad ingredients the dish is never as pleasant and the Moon is a little salty today. Be a tasty dish and not burnt macaroni. Another obvious variable is the condition of Mars in your natal chart. A heavily afflicted natal Mars is like a large bruise on your leg. Everytime the Moon crosses it you feel as if someone is repeatedly punching your soft spot. If the Moon is triggering harsh emotions they’re simply because you don’t want to deal with them in a rational manner. If this is the case you will need soothing energies from elsewhere in order to make this run in a more tolerable fashion. Try to refrain from direct confrontations with loved ones. Because you're more willing to express your true feelings you’re probably going to say something you later regret. Especially avoid complications with your mother. If you can maintain your cool and focus your energy towards a direct ambition then you can accomplish much today. If you become restless and can’t sleep don’t lay in bed tossing and turning. Get up and do some basic house chores in the middle of the night even if it’s only for an hour.
Moon conjunct Jupiter
99 times out of 100 the Moon’s transit over Jupiter is a positive experience where you can learn about yourself and the higher octaves of the universe in multiple different ways. This will only occur if you’re conscious of what you’re doing and have a specific goal in mind. If you let this casually slip by, your Ah Ha moment will be subtle and sometimes unrecognizable. If you focus and put it to proper use the possibilities are limitless. Your aspirations can range from strengthening relationship bonds to discovering a new path on your spiritual journey. Prayers and meditations will be much more meaningful and you can harness powers from supernatural forces effortlessly in a very unconscious manner. Even if you don’t try, there will be a subtle feeling of spirituality and connection with a higher something. That something will vary from person to person. Today can be compared to coming to a beautiful vantage point when out on a hike. As you’ve been grueling on the path through the woods you’ve stumbled across a clearing and the beautiful view is worth every ounce of the effort needed to get there. Remember this is only a brief stop at a watering hole and eventually the journey must continue. Jupiter is one of our philosophical teachers and If you apply your lessons properly then emotional tensions can be alleviated much more comfortably. The odyssey of life never stops. It’s like the constantly flowing river. It may be the same river but it will only be in the current state for a millisecond and can never be the same. Nothing produced from Jupiter will ever be bad. Situations may feel uncomfortable at first, but as the skies will clear, the rainbow will be beautiful once again. More often than not, you’ll just casually let this transit pass by simply feeling lighthearted and at ease with where you are in life. Even if you’re living under a bridge, the few amenities you have will feel more fulfilling. Overall this is a great day to do whatever you choose. Work endeavors feel as they’re flowing smoothly and personal matters touch your heart in a more exponential manner. As with every transit involving Jupiter, there is always the chance of overdoing a good thing to the point of destructive excess. A couple scoops of ice cream is tasty but the whole gallon will make you sick to your stomach. Stay out of the bars or casinos unless you can stick to a strict budget. If not, you will probably be waking up with a few less dollars and a considerable hangover.
Moon conjunct Saturn
In my opinion this is the least glorious and most emotionally restrictive monthly transit the Moon will make. The philosophy behind this alignment is to distance yourself from your feelings and separate your emotions so you can see things from a more objective point of view. This is a monthly reality check that’s meant to expose where mistakes are being made so corrections can follow. During this period you’re going to want to be alone with your innermost thoughts so you can analyze and organize. It may only last a couple hours, but the subtle effects of this transit will be more evident once it passes and you’re back to your normal self again. Domestic issues usually accompany this alignment because you’re seeing the things in your life that are less than satisfactory but don’t necessarily know how to deal with them. If you’re in an emotionally stable place you’ll fare much better than those who aren’t. If you are clinging onto any childish habits that have worn out their need this will be a very difficult time. The more you hold onto your outgrown behaviors the more difficult it is to grow and mature. The Moon always does what’s most comfortable, Saturn does what’s most logical. These two behaviors don’t always coincide with each other and today you need to side with logic. Rather than go out and about getting things done, try to stay at home and organize anything that seems out of control. Domestic issues usually accompany this transit because you can identify the things in your life that are less than satisfactory. If your house is a mess today is a great day to clean it. It’s also a wonderful day to start a new study or read something more advanced than your general magazine or newspaper. Remember this is only a simple Moon transit and the other planets are definitely going to have their say.
Moon conjunct Uranus
First off, Uranus is one of the generational planets which makes house placement and natal condition more important than the personal planets. This is one of what I call a roller coaster transit meaning there are many ups, downs, and loopyloops which are meant to stimulate some excitement in your life. Like the straw that stirs the drink. Any transit involving Uranus is generally a fluctuating time where unpredictable circumstances emerge from nowhere. These events can show you how ingenious you really are. These planets are basically spinning a random wheel of destiny and Lord only knows where the chaos will finally stop. Ever heard of chicken head bingo? It’s a horrible game I won’t describe but this alignment could be a grotesque metaphor. Just lop off the top and see where the hen finally falls to a stop. Take extra precaution under this transit because fool hearted decisions will lead to more problems down the road. Your erratic behavior can confuse others and cause riffs where they don’t belong. If you go storming around causing trouble with everyone you’re going to have to go back and apologize later. If not, the issue will resurface under different conditions. This is one of the most unstable transits the Moon will make and your demeanor will show it. Parents with young children going through this transit may want to stock up on duct tape and tie down straps. Kids with significant behavior problems will lash out more intensively and on unsuspecting victims. On the positive side you're much more open to things that are odd and different from your normal style. People from other backgrounds are more intriguing and unconsciously seek their contact. Don’t be surprised if you find yourself talking the ear off of the grocery checker today.
Moon conjunct Neptune
Conjunctions involving the Moon and Neptune have many different effects most of which are extremely subtle and unconscious. Vivid dreams are meant to inspire your creativity as well as give you insight from the spiritual realm. During this transit your sensitivity to others and the environment around you is heightened. You pick up on the unbroadcasted signals and body language of those around you and it’s important to stay away from people who continuously complain or bring you down. You’re susceptible to taking on their problems as your own and using valuable resources to fix someone else’s problem. Days like these are when it’s difficult to wake up and muscles just won’t function properly for the time being. Don’t be alarmed if you feel sad about things you would not normally be melancholy about. Your empathy towards others is strong and today would be a great day to help a friend with their issues. Especially stimulated are your psychic abilities and imagination. The creative potential during this period is tremendous. The mystical and magical properties of Neptune are buried deep within your subconscious. As the Moon triggers these connections the pending results might astonish you. It might, and probably will, take a couple days to completely recognize the results of this transit. It isn’t advised to make difficult decisions today because it’s more troublesome to decipher fact from fiction. You’re so concerned about others that you’ll let them take advantage of you and your things. Many of the mistakes made under this will be because you weren’t willing to see things as they truly were. The lighter side of this relationship is going to allow you to tap into your artistic side. Decorating your home or starting an art project are both great ideas. Make sure you’ve finished up some of your other obligations and you have the resources to do so. Don’t forget simple cleaning and reorganizing your junk can be considered domestic art projects. Both the Moon and Neptune are nurturing and healing entities. Both physical and psychological ailments can be alleviated today. Possibly with a really good nap.
Moon conjunct Pluto
The Moon’s conjunction with your natal Pluto is one of those transits where your emotions, habits, and inner subconscious are all affected, and the intensity of what you experience will vary greatly from month to month. The meaning of this connection is to reveal your deepest, sometimes darkest, feelings. On occasion it will just casually pass by with nothing more than a couple vivid dreams or a little fatigue. Other times it will feel like you’re being bombarded with catastrophes and the chaos will never end. Plutonian forces are best represented by circumstances where one thing is completely destroyed so something else can be built, and according to the universe, tragedies are only stepping stones for us to learn how to grow and overcome obstacles. Pluto is the entity bringing such obstacles. It’s very much like demolishing an old building and constructing something bigger and better in its place. In geological terms it would be a volcanic eruption. At first there’s a little shaking and rumbling. Then the top is blown and the ensuing destruction is enormous. The landscape may be blackened and completely knocked down, but this state is only temporary. Eventually foliage returns and the wildlife can go back to flourishing.
On a personal level this is a magnificent time to focus on self reflection and personal growth. Any form of metaphysical, psychological, or meditative work will be exceptionally productive now, and this transit can definitely produce a spiritual awakening. Even if you aren’t involved in any form of therapy you’re still going to need to vent some frustrations. Any negative feelings you have suppressed are going to develop into more noticeable problems. Just because you don’t recognize something now doesn’t mean it won’t be significant further down the road. Issues involving jealousy and possessiveness may manifest themselves during this time as well. Important decisions don’t need to be made here, just thought about. Pluto is an obsessively clingy planet and will cause you to hang on dearly. It may be bad habits, emotional trauma, or an actual physical possession you become attached to. Remember the first step in any recovery program is admitting there’s a problem and you want to do something about it.
